Happy February, everybody! 

I don’t know about you, but winter makes me hungry.  No matter that I’m sitting pretty in warm, dry, snow-free surroundings while the rest of the U.S. is battening down the hatches in preparation for the mother of all blizzards.

I hope you’re prepared.

February is so many things:                          

National Cherry Month
National Grapefruit Month
National Hot Breakfast Month
National Macadamia Nut Month
National Snack Food Month

February 19-25 National Pancake Week           

February 1 National Baked Alaska Day
February 3 National Carrot Cake Day
February 4 National Homemade Soup Day
February 4 National Stuffed Mushroom Day   

February 7 National Fettuccine Alfredo Day                

     Homemade soup, stuffed mushrooms, fettucine alfredo?  These oughtta get you through the storm unscathed.

Pay particular attention to the fact that February is National Snack Food Month.

  9. Fabulous. Favorite snack food – peanut M&Ms, always best if taken in a small ziplock bag on an airplane and then enjoy while everyone else is wishing they thought of it.

    PLEASE don’t tell us March is exercise month for all the crap you ate in February!

    I enjoy snacking on cottage cheese, Goldfish crackers, and pepperoni. Oh, and of course, walnuts.
